Job Summary: This position is located in Fleet & Family Readiness, Morale, Welfare & Recreation Department, Business Activities Division, Bowling Center, Naval Support Activity, Naples, Italy. The purpose of this position is to plan and carry out a comprehensive bowling program to meet the needs of eligible patrons.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Knowledge gained through relevant experience which enables the employee to competently and independently carry out administrative, professional and technical work involving knowledge and application of bowling, bowling equipment, or equivalent recreational projects, programs and facilities. Knowledge of effective marketing techniques to include marketing strategies, customer trend analysis, price analysis and retail display. Knowledge of procurement and inventory management. Must attend alcohol server training and maintain certification. Must have a working knowledge of cost of goods and how it impacts revenues. Must possess knowledge of sanitation requirements and be able to obtain and maintain a food handler's certification. Must be able to develop and enforce various controls and methods to prevent inventory shortages and losses. Must possess a knowledge of business management practices and methods to manage a small business or recreation facility. Knowledge of effective profit/loss accounting techniques and budget formation and execution. Must have knowledge of personnel programs, training methodology and effective supervisory techniques.
