Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, nestled near the convergence of the Ruak and Mekong Rivers, offers a unique vantage point overlooking Thailand, Burma, and Laos. This luxurious escape, reached by a boat journey down the Ruak River, is enveloped in a thick bamboo forest, combining the thrill of a jungle adventure with the comfort of the Four Seasons brand. The camp boasts 15 uniquely decorated tents and an Explorer’s Lodge, all reminiscent of 19th-century expeditions with handcrafted furnishings and modern amenities. Dine in style at Nong Yao, offering diverse cuisines, or enjoy a drink while watching the sunset at Burma Bar. From rejuvenating spa experiences amidst the bamboo forests to sightseeing trips exploring the rich history of the Golden Triangle, this camp promises a blend of nature, luxury, and cultural immersion.

About the role

The Boatman is responsible for safely transporting and assisting guests during boat rides, ensuring a pleasant and memorable experience on the water. In addition to boat-related duties, this role supports the Front Office team by preparing tour amenities, maintaining bicycles for guest use, and upholding the cleanliness and organization of the boutique shop. A strong focus on guest service, safety, and teamwork is essential to uphold the resort’s service standards. 

What you will do

• Safely operate and navigate the boat for guest pick-up, drop-off, and excursions. 

• Provide a warm welcome and ensure a pleasant, safe, and informative boat experience for all guests. 

• Perform regular checks and maintenance on the boat and life vest to ensure safety and cleanliness. 

• Assist the Front Office team in preparing guest amenities and excursion equipment. 

• Set up and maintain bicycles for bike tours, including cleaning. 

• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the Trading Post and surrounding areas. 

• Report any safety issues, maintenance needs, or guest concerns to the appropriate department. 

• Uphold service standards and contribute to a positive guest experience at all times. 

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the management team to support daily operations. 

What you bring

• Proven experience in operating long tail boats, with valid license. 

• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. 

• Strong understanding of water safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Schedule & Hours:

·         This is a full time position

·         The position requires full schedule availability although may be asked to work other shifts, based on business volume.
