THE JOB:
Blue Man Group is looking for a creative, hands-on Props Technician to help bring our one-of-a-kind show to life. Working with our Props team and other departments, you'll support performances, rehearsals, and maintenance to help deliver the unforgettable experience our audiences love. THE STARTING RATE: $39.26 / Per Hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Run cue tracks and operate show props as directed for performances, artist training, and maintenance
- Inspect and maintain show props and related equipment
- Update maintenance and inspection records as directed by departmental leadership
- Maintain cue track documentation and take part in cue track rotation as directed by departmental leadership
- Participate in required safety classes and emergency rescue training
- Collaborate on special projects, including building and installing new show props and puppet elements
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Three (3) years of experience in a professional theatrical environment as a props technician with an in-depth knowledge of theatrical props for large scale productions
- Able to work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays
