Job Title: Blackstone Technology and Innovations –Associate

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage innovative technologies that are transforming the Alternative Asset Management industry.
  • Design, build, deploy, test, and support custom web applications for internal users, ensuring high-quality code and business value.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to drive value and produce excellent code.
  • Develop custom applications for the Private Wealth Solutions group to streamline their business processes.
  • Build custom solutions and data integrations using AWS and Salesforce technologies to enhance business efficiency.
  • Enhance and refine functionality for internal applications while contributing to platform tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and Terraform.
  • Take ownership of projects, identifying business design gaps in collaboration with Blackstone business analysts.
  • Address a variety of challenges, from creating custom data integrations to automating content creation for improved business efficiency.
  • Drive the modernization of BXTI web applications by implementing the latest design standards and frameworks.
  • Support the web application stack for both public websites and internal web applications.
  • Utilize modern software development methodologies and tools, such as JIRA, to collaborate on and deliver projects.
  • Write automated unit, integration, and deployment tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, enhancing overall efficiency.
  • Lead technical design and code reviews to ensure the best outcomes for projects.
  • Promote, implement, and continuously improve development best practices.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the team and organization.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience building full stack web applications.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience creating custom UI components using JavaScript and React.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an Agile environment, including attending sprint planning and retrospective sessions.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience building custom integrations using REST web services.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience collaborating with UI/UX and Product teams to design user-centric applications.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using CSS frameworks to build HTML UI components.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing UI components with the Material UI framework.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing CI/CD workflows using Jenkins Pipeline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing stakeholders and handling enhancement requests.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing system integrations across various custom applications and data providers.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience designing database schemas using MySQL or similar database technologies.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing applications on AWS using Java or C# frameworks.
  • Experience can be concurrent.

Expected annual base salary range:

$138,500 - $170,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
