Job Title: BXMA – Chief of Staff to the Global Head of BXMA

Job Description:

The Chief of Staff will sit on the Strategic Initiatives team within BXMA and serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Global Head of the Division, providing high-level support across investment strategy, client strategy, and organizational strategy. This role will be central to driving execution of BXMA’s strategic priorities and enhancing the effectiveness of the leadership office. The Chief of Staff coordinates cross-functional initiatives, manages critical workflows, and acts as a key liaison between the Global Head of the Division and internal/external stakeholders. 

This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong investment and market acumen, and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights. A successful candidate can operate with discretion, sound judgment, and a high degree of autonomy in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Project Leadership.  Lead and coordinate strategic initiatives across multiple teams and business lines. Ensure projects are well-defined, progress is tracked against milestones, and deliverables are met within established timelines.

  • Research & Analysis.  Conduct regular and ad hoc research to inform key decisions and contribute to client deliverables.  Source, evaluate, and present insights on financial markets, investment strategies, industry trends, portfolio holdings, and performance. Develop high-quality presentations that clearly communicate complex investment concepts.

  • Content Creation.  Produce best-in-class content for both internal and external consumption with a focus on thought leadership and driving commercial outcomes.

  • Internal Communications.  Represent the Global Head of BXMA in communications with BXMA staff and other internal stakeholders, helping increase connectivity.  Gather and synthesize information from across the organization, consolidating business priorities and KPIs into executive-ready dashboards and updates.

  • Process Management.  Organize and optimize workflows to enhance efficiency and ensure timely execution of critical tasks. Assess existing processes, recommend improvements, and design new frameworks as needed to support evolving business needs.

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound professional judgment, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.  In addition to strong analytical and time management skills, the successful candidate must have:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in investment banking, sales & trading, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of capital markets, corporate finance, and investment strategies commonly employed by alternative asset managers.

  • Proven skill to analyze, interpret, and synthesize complex data to support strategic decision-making.

  • Demonstrated talent to manage ad hoc projects independently with minimal oversight.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the skill to convey information clearly and concisely.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Expected annual base salary range:

$185,000 - $200,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
