Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.)

Job Description

Biotechnologist is responsible for preparing microorganism cultivation equipment and executing fermentation processes in both single-use (SUF) and SIP fermenters. The role includes media and solution preparation, ensuring efficient and compliant production according to approved procedures, and maintaining accurate and timely documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain microorganism cultivation equipment (SUF and SIP fermenters), including calibration and setup.

• Perform fermentation processes:

  • Sterilization, filtration, and preparation of media

  • Monitoring and controlling fermentation parameters

  • Sampling and quality analysis

• Conduct cleaning and autoclaving of equipment and solutions.

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of production equipment.

• Accurately complete production documentation (protocols, logs, journals).

• Participate in implementation of new production equipment and processes.

• Analyze production issues and perform corrective actions.

• Enter data into systems (e.g., E1) and report deviations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Higher education in life sciences or biotechnology.

• English language skills (minimum B1 level).

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Compensation

The monthly salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €1 983,33–€2 970,83.
