Role Overview
Join Analog Devices’ Biosensors Group as a Product Engineer and Lab Manager, where you will help drive the development, testing, and delivery of innovative biosensor products while managing state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and operations. This dual role offers hands-on involvement in product engineering and the opportunity to be a key part of a high-performing team. This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to be at the forefront of launching new biosensor products and building world-class lab infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities


Product Engineering Role

  • Develop a deep understanding of biosensor products and their applications.
  • Support characterization, testing and analysis of new biosensor products during the development and New Product Introduction (NPI) phases.
  • Assist in developing and validating new manufacturing processes.
  • Execute reliability testing protocols for new products.
     

Lab Management Role

  • Collaborate with R&D, Design, Systems, Product, and Reliability Engineering teams to ensure lab facilities and processes support successful project delivery.
  • Manage daily lab operations, budgets, procurement, and inventory of equipment, consumables, and services.
  • Serve as primary EHS liaison, ensuring proactive compliance and audit readiness.
  • Lead all interactions with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to maintain a safe, compliant, and audit-ready lab
  • Coordinate the design, setup, and fit-out of new laboratory spaces, aligning with project and business needs.
  • Oversee calibration, maintenance, and record-keeping for all laboratory equipment and tools.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain lab standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring staff training and compliance.
  • Support the development of dedicated reliability labs for advanced product testing and long-term performance assessment.
  • Ensure lab operations, procedures, and documentation meet Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2) standards.
  • Lead implementation and ongoing adherence to 5S + Safety processes.
  • Provide operational support to multiple projects, ensuring lab resources meet evolving requirements.
  • Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements
 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in product engineering, laboratory management, or a related environment.
  • Proven ability to manage lab operations, including safety, procurement, and equipment maintenance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with reliability testing and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
     

Desired:

  • Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Experience in biosensor development or medical device industry.
  • Familiarity with BSL2 laboratory standards and EHS protocols.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing SOPs.
  • Experience leading lab fit-out or expansion projects.
