Job Summary:

The Biorepository Associate supports the receipt, quality control, documentation, and storage of clinical specimens to ensure samples are handled accurately and in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist with receipt of consignments and shipments of clinical specimens
  • Open shipments and perform quality checks of patient information forms, escalating missing or incorrect information and damaged shipments to senior staff
  • Prepare and process specimens for long-term storage, client requirements, and sample disposition activities
  • Support and respond to after-hour alarms and other job-critical functions as needed
  • Assist with routine maintenance of equipment and work area organization as requested by management
  • Support supply inventory activities and general cleanup of workstations to maintain a safe, compliant environment
  • Perform administrative duties required to maintain accurate records and support workflow control

What We Are Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to perform specimen receiving and documentation quality checks in alignment with established procedures
  • Basic computer skills to support accurate reporting, recordkeeping, and workflow tracking
  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:

  • Strong attention to detail to identify missing or incorrect documentation and support accurate specimen handling
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to escalate issues and coordinate with senior staff and peers
  • Ability to organize work, manage routine tasks, and maintain steady workflow in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $24,400.00 - $50,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
