Major Duties:
Qualifications: ASSESSMENT FACTORS 1. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills to compose and deliver responses to complex questions in a clear, concise, and organized manner (Communications Lvl4, Behaviors). 2. Continues to expand and maintain diverse professional working relationships to actively and effectively network across directorate and Agency functions; continually uses networks to resolve issues and problematic situations by sharing resources and lessons learned (Engage/Coll Lvl4). 3. Demonstrates advanced proficiency and knowledge in assigned scientific or technology area; remains abreast of advanced developments and incorporates knowledge into analytic products. (Scient&Tech Intel Lvl3, Behaviors). 4. Professional work experience in the United States Government or private sector with an emphasis on medical sciences, analysis and operational support to warfighters. 5. Integrates differing interpretations and seemingly unrelated information by examining biases, assumptions, worldviews, and suppositions to eliminate or mitigate analytic surprise. HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS 1. Experience working with the following mission sets: Pandemics and Infectious Disease, Chemical and Radiation Threats, Biosafety and Biosecurity, Emerging and Disruptive Technologies, and Strategic Analysis. 2. Experience working with, for and/or in high containment facilities. 3. Analytic experience producing foundational military intelligence. Basic Requirements 1. Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR 2. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
