Digital Engineering Lead (BIM) 

 

Due to success in winning a number of projects, ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Digital Engineering Lead (BIM) to join ACCIONA’s Digital Engineering team, driving BIM excellence across major infrastructure projects in Australia. 

 

Reporting to the Digital Engineering Manager, this role is central to shaping and delivering digital engineering outcomes across complex, multidisciplinary projects. 

 

About the Role:

 

You will lead BIM strategy, implementation, and coordination, championing model-based delivery and alignment with international standards. Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you will ensure high-quality design coordination, efficient construction workflows, and accurate asset information. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement BIM strategies, standards, and execution plans aligned with ACCIONA’s Digital Engineering framework 
  • Lead BIM delivery across multidisciplinary design and construction teams 
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, ISO 19650, and project digital deliverables 
  • Facilitate model reviews, clash detection, and coordination processes 
  • Manage BIM platforms including Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, ACC, ProjectWise, and Revizto 
  • Maintain templates, object libraries, and QA/QC processes 
  • Mentor teams and uplift digital capability across projects 
  • Collaborate with client

Required Skills and Competencies

What You’ll Bring 

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Design Management, or similar 
  • Strong BIM experience on major infrastructure or large-scale construction projects 
  • Sound knowledge of ISO 19650 and digital engineering best practice 
  • Advanced capability in BIM authoring and coordination tools 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
