Job Description:
About This Position
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of the Customer Information System (CIS) through audits, monitoring, and validation of updates and rates.
- Monitor and maintain accurate billing for all customer classes; review accounts and resolve discrepancies in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Investigate and resolve complex customer and vendor inquiries using data analysis, field verification, and system research.
- Manage system security, user access, and work order processing, including fees and documentation.
- Support system integrations, updates, and enhancements in coordination with IT to minimize operational disruptions.
- Serve as backup to the Billing Supervisor, assisting with escalations, workflow coordination, and performance monitoring.
- Process and oversee billing activities such as cycle/off-cycle billing, adjustments, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; provide recommendations for leadership.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, training materials, and provide coaching/mentoring to staff for consistent operations and development.
- Evaluate business processes, support system testing/implementation, and prepare reports to improve efficiency and decision-making.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
About You
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Planning, Industrial/Engineering Technology, or related fields AND two (2) years of job-related experience.
- -OR- Six (6) years of professional job-related experience can be substituted at management discretion for the required education.
- -OR- Related professional program/ project management may substitute for the required education at management discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate to advanced skill in computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook (email, chat, scheduler), Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, E-Net, Itineris, Acella, On Base, Amanda, Maximo, Electronic Filing Systems (EFS), Teams, Smartsheet, Workday.
- Strong analytical and independent decision-making skills, along with a high level of technical expertise, are essential.
- Two (2) years of government experience.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $64,812.80 - $69,014.40/ annually, based on experience.
