Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists virology patients with their enrollment in Medicare, Medicaid, ACA Marketplace plans, sliding fee scale, patient assistance programs.
Receives and approves Ryan White Program coverage requests and inquiries from ID faculty and staff, as well as other specialty providers.
Provides ongoing training for faculty, staff and patients regarding billing, insurance, patient assistance, sliding fee scale, etc.
Distributes information to virology patients regarding their benefits and insurance enrollment, as well as billing.
Assists with the invoicing process.
Ensures insurance/benefits are accurately documented for patients in EPIC and the Statewide CM database.
Performs other duties as assigned.
