About the Role

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Billing & Contract Management

  • Interpret customer contract terms and billing schedules to prepare accurate invoices and adjustments.
  • Review customer contracts and obtain necessary purchase orders (POs).
  • Upload customer invoices into various portals and resolve any submission issues.
  • Perform tax-related tasks, including sales tax end-user schedules.

Collections & Account Portfolio Management

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, building strong relationships to ensure satisfaction and timely payment.
  • Analyze past-due accounts to determine the reason for non-payment and recommend the best course of action.
  • Distribute customer statements and perform account reconciliations as needed.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex customer issues, troubleshooting disputes in a professional manner.

Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate accounts receivable customer files, records, and data integrity.
  • Assist with month-end responsibilities, including the monthly calculation of the bad debt reserve.
  • Generate and analyze reports on key AR metrics to provide insights on portfolio health.
  • Identify opportunities to improve AR processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to streamline processes and resolve interdepartmental issues affecting AR.
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries promptly through collaborative problem-solving.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Operations, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, or relevant customer-facing experience.

Other Qualifications

  • Education: Accounting or Business degree preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; professional demeanor with the ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Mindset: A genuine passion for customer service and a "solutions-oriented" approach.
  • Detail-Oriented: Highly organized, accurate, and possesses strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to react quickly to change, see issues through to resolution, and continually seek to improve operational efficiencies.
