Bilingual FX Processing Officer

Job Description

The Bilingual FX Processing Officer is responsible for very high value transactions/clients both on Foreign Currency Accounts and Foreign Exchange transactions in both French and English. This will be the final authority on processing related matters, providing professional, attentive and accurate service to Foreign Exchange clients by using extensive knowledge of foreign currency account request and services.

What will you do?

  • Fulfill complex transactions assuming ownership and personal accountability.
  • Meet the immediate needs of the client by providing solutions and resolving issues.
  • Listen to client’s needs and takes accountability to accurately complete transactions and delivers a superior client experience with every transaction. The competence with which the incumbent’s duties are carried out has a major impact on the reputation risk of the RBC globally.  Failure to perform in an efficient and competent manner can not only jeopardize the Bank’s reputation but can also result in significant penalties from Office of Superintendent of Financial Institution and OFAC.
  • Ensure that due diligence for compliance related matters is adhered to and will be responsible for the end-to-end transactions for clients. 
  • Contribute to individual objectives by identifying and offering appropriate responses with a continuous focus on client transactions.
  • Receive, investigate, and respond to all customer inquiries and complaints regarding banking products and services; processes basic bank service transactions. With extensive knowledge of the job and policies/practices, performs a wide range of advanced administrative/operational assignments.
  • Input/Release function for all activities related to IBC Wires.
  • Book incoming/outgoing wires with Capital Market/ treasury.
  • Deliver high quality, timely and error-free service to clients and service partners on FCA through effective call handling.
  • Manage internal and external client relationships from a service perspective, including direct client interactions where appropriate.
  • Proactively manage escalated items to satisfactory resolution.

                                      

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with partners across Canada.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work in high volume & strict timeframe deadlines.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in the financial industry or previous experience in a customer support role.
  • Efficient and accurate data entry abilities.
