Job Description
The Bid & Proposal Intern supports AV’s Bid and Proposal team in planning, developing, and delivering competitive, high-quality proposals for the wide range of AV solutions. This role focuses on collecting and analyzing data, compiling and organizing material for an AV proposal knowledge repository (pWin.ai), and drafting proposal content under the guidance of experienced proposal managers and technical staff. The intern will gain hands-on experience with AV’s opportunity pursuit processes, tools, and proposal best practices in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Analysis. Collect cost, schedule, and performance data from proposal managers. Analyze historical AV proposal, pricing, and performance data to identify trends, baseline metrics, and reusable content. Prepare concise data summaries, tables, and basic analyses that inform B&P strategies, process evolution, and product decisions.
Knowledge Repository Support. Compile proposal artifacts (e.g., past performance write-ups, technical solution descriptions, management and staffing approaches, resumes, graphics, boilerplate text) for inclusion in AV’s proposal knowledge repository. Organize, tag, and maintain content to enable efficient reuse across AV product lines and customers. Assist in maintaining version control and relevancy of AV proposal materials (e.g., corporate overviews, capability statements, quality approaches, security statements).
Proposal Development & Writing. Support development of compliant, responsive proposal sections (technical, management, past performance, corporate experience) in accordance with RFP/RFQ/RFI requirements. Help incorporate feedback from color team and internal reviews, updating content for clarity, consistency, and compliance.

Occasional exposure to lab or production environments may be required.

The salary range for this role is:

ITAR Requirement:
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
