Summary

The primary function of this position is to read, interpret, and complete K–12 National School Lunch bid contracts and Requests for Proposals (RFPs). This includes collaborating with cross-functional departments to obtain required information; verifying Tyson’s availability and compliance with contract requirements; preparing correspondence, obtaining required signatures, and ensuring adherence to company policies for bid submittals. Responsibilities also include evaluating whether requested products meet bid contract item specifications, entering pricing into bid contract forms, maintaining accurate records of commonly used bid materials and documentation, and ensuring data accuracy across all third-party bidding systems.

This role is responsible for submitting renewal and non-renewal letters and managing all correspondence related to bid contracts. Additional duties include obtaining award information, including competitive pricing data; verifying accurate entry into BidAdvantage; notifying internal departments of their responsibilities to maintain bid contract compliance; uploading signed state participation agreements to shared drives; and entering signed bid contracts into the Contract Management System (CMS). In addition to school bid contracts, this position is responsible for completing State Participation Agreements to support USDA commodity reprocessing business in participating states.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Three (3) or more years of office experience required. One (1) year of experience using Tyson office systems is preferred.

Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism.

Special Skills: Highly self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to perform under high-pressure deadlines. Must consistently demonstrate composure, accuracy, and attention to detail while meeting required timelines. The work is highly varied and requires interpretation of technical and detailed guidelines, policies, and procedures. This position is responsible for analyzing and resolving complex problems.
