BI Support Lead

Advanced technical role, requiring extensive experience and a deep understanding of BI (Business Intelligence) technologies, data infrastructure, and customer support principles.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Leads communication and change‑management for BI launches and updates, gather user feedback, and relay insights to BI product and engineering teams.

  • Collaborates with Support and BI development teams to ensure smooth transition of BI Products to production.

  • Drives adoption of BI tools, datasets, and models across the enterprise.

  • Manages and moderates the company-wide analytics community and the Engage channel.

  • Develops and deliver scalable BI training and enablement programs

  • Diagnoses and resolves complex issues, often touching multiple teams and departments.

  • Ensures adherence to BI governance, standards, and development best practices.

  • Mentors mid-level and entry-level support staff in their day-to-day work.

  • Displays the highest level of critical thinking and analysis in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-departmental problems. Makes prompt, sound decisions when faced with complex and often contradictory alternatives that result in successful outcomes.

  • Operates with considerable latitude. Situations may have little or no precedent requiring original or new concepts or approaches without guidance from others. Reaches decisions under conditions of uncertainty.

  • Develops or engages/directs others in developing innovative solutions to important, highly complex strategic and operating problems; cross-departmental considerations are often present.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 8+ years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 5+ years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Qualifications:
        8+ years of experience in training, enablement, or user‑readiness roles supporting enterprise systems, analytics tools, or business processes.
        Proven ability to design and deliver learning experiences in multiple formats—including virtual instructor‑led sessions, classroom workshops, e‑learning modules, and self‑paced resources.
        Hands‑on experience with Power BI, including datasets, models, and report usage.
        Expertise in creating clear, user‑friendly documentation, FAQs, job aids, and recorded demos that support both technical and non‑technical audiences.
        Skilled facilitator capable of leading interactive calls, forums, office hours, and community discussions that promote collaboration and continuous learning.
        Change Management Experience driving user adoption of new systems, analytics platforms, or data products through structured communication, training, and engagement strategies.
        Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the capability to guide others in interpreting data, exploring tools, and applying analytical techniques.
        Familiarity with BI concepts, including data roadmaps, enterprise datasets, and data governance principles.
        Demonstrated ability to work with cross‑functional teams, supporting rollout planning, user readiness, and community engagement for enterprise tools or processes.
        Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and spark interest in data‑driven practices.

  •  Experience enabling or mentoring Citizen Developers or power users in analytics environments.

  • Knowledge of collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Viva Engage) used for community building and knowledge sharing.

  •  Ability to create engaging recorded demos, tutorials, and multi‑session training series for analytics tools.
