What You Drive at DTFS
Serve as the senior technical lead for enterprise BI platforms including Cognos, Tableau, SAS, and Essbase, providing architectural guidance and hands-on support.
Design, develop, and enhance enterprise reporting and analytics solutions, including dashboards, financial reports, cubes, and operational reporting frameworks.
Lead the design and implementation of ETL and data integration workflows supporting BI platforms, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and delivery across enterprise systems.
Architect scalable data solutions integrating ERP, financial, and operational data to support enterprise reporting and analytics requirements.
Provide administration and operational oversight of BI platforms, including installation, configuration, upgrades, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
Lead production support activities for BI and ETL platforms, including incident management, root-cause analysis, performance monitoring, and platform stabilization.
Define and enforce development standards, data modeling practices, and ETL design patterns to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability.
Design and implement data governance, security, and role-based access control frameworks ensuring compliant and secure data access across BI platforms.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into scalable BI and data solutions.
Lead integration strategies between BI tools, data warehouses, and enterprise applications, including API-based and batch data integration patterns.
Lead integration and adoption of modern data platforms including Palantir Foundry, designing data pipelines, pipeline orchestration strategies, and ontology-driven semantic models to support enterprise analytics and reporting.
Contribute to enterprise data engineering initiatives by designing and implementing data pipelines and data models supporting scalable and governed data consumption.
Partner with Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for performance, scalability, and compliance.
Support release planning, deployments, and production readiness, including defect resolution and platform stabilization.
Mentor and guide BI developers, ETL engineers, and platform administrators, ensuring adherence to best practices and enterprise standards.
Contribute to BI and data platform strategy, identifying opportunities to modernize reporting, improve data quality, and enhance analytics capabilities.
Communicate complex technical topics clearly and effectively to business stakeholders and IT leadership.
Knowledge You Should Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in BI, data engineering, or enterprise data platform development.
Hands-on experience with BI tools including Cognos, Tableau, SAS, and Essbase.
Strong experience with ETL and data integration tools (Informatica or equivalent), including workflow orchestration and data pipeline design.
Experience with data engineering concepts including data pipelines, transformation, and large-scale data processing.
Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling, query optimization, and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with BI platform administration and production support.
Knowledge of enterprise data governance, security, and access control frameworks.
Experience working in large, integrated enterprise environments.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
Experience with modern data platforms such as Palantir Foundry, including pipeline development and semantic data modeling.
Experience integrating BI platforms with enterprise data lakes and cloud-based analytics platforms.
Strong background in financial reporting, forecasting, or analytical modeling.
Experience presenting architectural designs and solution strategies to senior leadership.
Exposure to data quality frameworks, metadata management, and data lineage tools.
This role is a senior individual contributor position with full technical ownership of enterprise BI and data platforms. The position combines hands-on development, BI platform administration, ETL and data integration expertise, data engineering capabilities, and architectural leadership, with accountability for solution quality, performance, and delivery outcomes across the DTFS enterprise.
