We are searching for an analyst that will be dedicated for the Data & Reporting team. He will be focussing on the data flow to be delivered through a unique data and lakehouse and to prepare this for new usages such as enterprise data (BI) and AI.

What does your job as a BI Engineer/Analyst Data & Reporting?
As a BI engineer/analyst, you collect and analyse business requirements and needs in order to arrive at a fully functional analysis. You play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights.
You have an understanding of the (life) insurance industry
You align with business stakeholders in order to refine their requirements and check feasibility, completeness and coherence
You document, adapt, or validate the business rules and their calculation
You collaborate with the data engineer who designs the ETL pipeline that meets your needs.
You design and maintain the different data models used for reporting
You create the domain driven datamarts to allow the business to do their own reporting
You do a regular follow up on all the existing datamarts in production
You abide by the existing data architecture and challenge it whenever possible
You can automate data processes and derive the right conclusions

Demonstrable experience as a BI Engineer/analyst
Data modelling & data mapping (be able to consolidate different source systems in order to create the correct insights
Knowledge of Domain Driven Design principles and patterns is a must
Queries on database (SQL)
A strong knowledge of English. A knowledge of Dutch or French is an additional asset
Strong analytical skills: a critical, problem-solving and proactive mindset with a 'hands-on' approach
Knowledge of life insurance concepts, IFRS 17 & insurance accounting is an asset
Communication is key in this role, both with your team and with internal or external stakeholders. Being a team player and taking ownership form the rationale behind our Agile way of working.
