Position Summary

In your role as a Benefits Specialist, you'll be a key operational member of the Total Rewards team, responsible for executing the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs, leave of absence cases, and workplace accommodations.

This is a hands-on role focused on accuracy, efficiency, and delivering a strong employee experience.

You'll gain valuable experience to grow your career in Benefits or Total Rewards.

You'll utilize any prior benefits experience you may have, but most important is your is your ability to quickly learn, think analytically, and solve problems.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Administer day-to-day employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits
  • Process benefit enrollments, life event changes, eligibility updates, and employee transactions in HR and vendor systems
  • Support administration of leave of absence programs including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other company leave programs
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, leave, and policies
  • Research and resolve employee issues by partnering with HR, payroll, managers, vendors, and third-party administrators
  • Perform regular audits to ensure accuracy between HR systems, payroll, and benefit carrier data
  • Manage benefits invoicing processes and ensure accurate tracking, reconciliation, and payment of vendor billing
  • Support open enrollment activities, employee communications, and ongoing benefits initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies within benefits administration

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, HR operations, leave administration, or a related HR function
  • Working knowledge of employee benefit programs and leave of absence processes preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve issues independently; and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills; and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Experience working with HRIS and benefits administration systems preferred

All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor are 5 days on site.

The current base salary range for this role is between $84,000 - $107,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
