Benefis Foundation Finance Director (Exempt)

Responsible for coordinating the functions of and works directly with the Foundation Board of Director’s Finance Committee and the Foundation’s financial advisors. Works with donors regarding planned gifts and manages the gift annuity portfolio and processes.  The accounting functions of Foundation are the responsibility of the Foundation including routine monthly accounting, the annual audit, the annual budget and the Foundation’s required tax filings including IRS form 990 and is expected to have operational competency in all these areas.

Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.

Education/License/Experience Requirements:

  • A combination of 4 years of finance/accounting education and 4 years of work experience. Or 2 years of work experience and 6 years of finance/accounting education.
  • Master’s Degree or CPA preferred.
  • Non-profit Accounting experience preferred.
  • Charitable planned giving experience preferred.
