About the Role
We are seeking a Benchtop Repair Engineer to provide technical support for our AMEC region repair depot and training center instruments. This role ensures optimal setup for primary trainers and offers backup support for the US Helpdesk when needed.
You will work closely with sales and applications teams to maintain, repair, and fine-tune systems for demo requirements, ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting the growth of After-Sales Revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on application lab systems.
Coordinate and execute instrument and benchtop repairs per customer requests and contractual obligations.
Conduct instrument testing, calibration, electrical/mechanical repairs, and parts ordering.
Return repaired systems to customers and track service details in the system of record.
Perform performance validations using certified procedures; diagnose and repair issues.
Align, repair, replace, and calibrate component parts and circuitry as required.
Serve as technical point of contact and subject matter expert.
Assist Operations Manager with routine maintenance needs.
Impact

Uphold and enhance the professional image of Malvern Panalytical.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education: BS/BA or AAS in Electronic Technology or equivalent.
Experience: 2–4 years related experience and/or training.
Strong troubleshooting and systematic problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and user manuals.
Proficiency with PC operating systems and Windows software packages.
OSHA knowledge is a plus.
