40Summary:
The Behavioral Health Therapist provides direct mental health services, including individual and group therapy using multiple therapeutic modalities (i.e. cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, group therapy, etc.) for patients and their families, in an integrated primary care setting. This role supports a collaborative care model, partnering closely with primary care providers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient management. The therapist functions independently under appropriate licensure and is critical in delivering timely, culturally competent, and coordinated mental health interventions.
Education & Experience:
Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Experience with pediatrics and adolescents required
Experience providing therapeutic interventions required
Must be proficient in the use of computer applications
Must be able to plan and organize work effectively
Must be adept at working in a dynamic team environment
Must have effective interpersonal communication skills with an ability to build relationships
Must be able to apply critical thinking, problem-solving, and self-initiative skills in the performance of work
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:
Current and valid LCSW or LPC license to practice in the state of Texas
