Saint Luke's North Hospital is seeking a Behavioral Access Clinician to join our team!
A licensed Masters degree level professional who provides emergency level behavioral health assessments in collaboration with a medical team of physicians registered nurses and psychiatrists in multiple medical settings throughout the region. Highly trained behavioral health professional who demonstrates autonomy and critical thinking skills and consultation in handling emergent psychiatric crises. Provides timely acute psychiatric assessments and consultations to medical units served whether on site or via telemed equipment. Responds to all needs and requests in a timely manner. Advises healthcare team for complex discharge planning and next level of care and placement issues and follow-up. Provides resources to community callers including individuals, medical staff, community agencies and other hospitals. Assists with providing patient and family education.
Full-time: Thursdays 6p-6a (overnight shift), Saturdays 10a-10p and Sundays 10a-10p
Completes Mental Health Assessments for patients in the Emergency Room, on Medical Floors or in a SLHS Clinic.
Works with hospital providers and psychiatrists to create a discharge disposition for patients.
Works with patients and families to complete a Crisis Safety Plan as needed.
Handles referral requests from outside hospitals and completes placement process for admission to the inpatient behavioral health unit.
Assists community members with mental health resources.
Provides crisis services to community callers to ensure safety.
Must be licensed in MO and KS-Certification required could be LPC, LMSW, or LCSW
