Job Description

In this role, you will manage and support several administrative functions within the Banking and Cash Solutions team in the Minneapolis headquarters. This position will report to the Vice President / General Manager and Head of Lending and Liquidity Solutions for Ameriprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to management as needed, partnering with other functional areas to quickly resolve issues and accomplish responsibilities

  • Minneapolis Banking & Cash Solutions site coordinator: manage activities critical to the day-to-day operation of the Minneapolis team, coordinating across locations as needed; single point of contact for staff, facilities, other site coordinators and visiting employees 

  • Provide on-boarding and off-boarding assistance including identifying office/desk space, requesting system and network access, ordering office equipment and supplies, coordinating first week activities, etc.

  • Research, respond, and resolve questions regarding department processes, functions, and requests.

  • Manage the coordination and tracking of information, programs and initiatives that support Banking and Cash Solutions using various systems and tools including OneDrive, Share point, Excel and other Microsoft tools

  • Interact with internal business partners to track, maintain, and communicate department information including facilities management, human capital tracking and business continuity updates.

  • Assist in the delivery of business updates, metrics and other requirements to the office of the Ameriprise Bank President & CEO as needed

  • Proactively point out areas where additional communication is warranted – within and outside of business unit

  • Coordinate and help prepare various materials for leadership and help facilitate timely execution of deliverables

  • Schedule and administer various department, senior leader, and committee meetings at the direction of management and assigned leaders

  • Provide end to end management and support of a variety of department events, including Town Halls, Team Meetings, Leadership Offsites, Employee Onboarding, and other employee development sessions.

  • Lead for recognition, employee engagement, and employee satisfaction action team planning and executing events, communications, and activities to foster a positive, productive work environment 

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of equivalent administrative and/or project management experience

  • Associate's degree

*Post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be interchanged to meet the combined total years of minimum required qualifications for education and experience.

  • Adept at building positive and collaborative working relationships

  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

  • Capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate to effectively coordinate department priorities

  • Ability to handle/maintain private and confidential information with discretion

  • Ability to work independently and take proactive initiative on work with little direction

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with standard business hardware and software (including Microsoft Office products)

Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $66,700 - $91,700 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
