Business Banking (BB) offers a comprehensive range of transaction, lending, and trading solutions, along with tailored offerings for more than 1 million customers. These include small and medium businesses, regional and agribusiness customers, and mid-to-large corporates. We serve customers through a combination of branches, digital and phone channels, and dedicated relationship managers. BB also supports personal and institutional online trading customers through CommSec.
What your role will involve
The BB Customer Contract Management Program is a BB-wide initiative established to uplift how Business Banking identifies, manages and assures negotiated customer contractual commitments across the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle. The program addresses current gaps in ownership, governance, monitoring and controls, and supports improved customer, operational and risk outcomes.
The Senior Manager, BB Contract Management Program plays a critical role in delivering this initiative by leading major workstreams and translating program strategy into executable outcomes. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and selected external vendor to deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions, ensuring negotiated customer contracts are consistently governed, operationally executable, monitored and supporting sustainable embedding of contract management capability into BAU.
On any given day, you will;
Lead defined program workstreams end‑to‑end, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within risk appetite and to required quality standards.
Translate program strategy and target state into detailed designs, delivery plans and executable initiatives.
Define and embed contract management operating model components, including ownership, governance, controls, decision rights and escalation pathways.
Lead delivery of fit‑for‑purpose contract management solutions, including obligation management, monitoring and assurance capabilities.
Oversee delivery activities with internal teams and external vendors, providing clear direction, oversight and risk management.
Identify, manage and escalate delivery risks, interdependencies and material issues, with clear options and recommendations.
Support preparation of high‑quality materials for program governance forums, including progress reporting, risk updates and decision papers.
Partner closely with Line 2 Risk and Line 3 Audit to support effective oversight, assurance readiness and reliance.
Coach and develop Managers and team members, uplifting capability in contract management, risk and control disciplines.
Support transition of program outcomes into BAU operating models, ensuring sustainable ownership and accountability.
Promote a proactive risk and control culture aligned to enterprise standards and expectations.

Significant experience delivering complex change or transformation initiatives in regulated environments.
Strong understanding of non‑financial risk, governance, controls and assurance, with the ability to embed these into operating models and delivery outcomes.
Demonstrated capability leading cross‑functional teams across business, legal, risk, technology and change disciplines.
Proven ability to operate effectively with senior stakeholders, providing clear insights, recommendations and delivery trade‑offs.
Strong people leadership capability, including coaching and uplifting capability of Managers and delivery team members.
Strong judgement in complex and ambiguous environments, with the ability to balance pace, risk and sustainability.
