JOB SUMMARY:
The Detroit Tigers are looking for a motivated, energetic, and dedicated individual to serve as Lakeland Flying Tigers Bat Person in Lakeland, FL.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set-up and organize dugouts prior to each game including bats, helmets, coolers, etc. Retrieve bats, balls and other equipment from the playing field during games Provide umpires with game balls and water as requested Break down dugouts after the game along with putting away all equipment used during the game. Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Familiar with the rules of baseball. Ability to do heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs.) Ability to work well with others. Ability to take direction. Willingness to learn with a positive, can-do attitude
WORK CONDITIONS:
Seasonal part-time on game days. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. If necessary, must be able to work long hours. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions. Ability to walk/run. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Available to work all Flying Tigers home games.
