We’re seeking an experienced and proactive Banqueting Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee the delivery of exceptional banqueting and events service, ensuring every event runs smoothly and exceeds guest expectations. You’ll lead by example on the floor, supporting and motivating the team while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, service, and presentation.
This role suits someone with strong organisational skills, a passion for events, and the confidence to manage operations in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do
Supervise and coordinate banqueting staff during events to ensure seamless service delivery
Brief, allocate duties to, and support team members before and throughout events
Ensure banquet rooms are set up accurately according to event specifications and timelines
Act as the main point of contact during events, handling guest enquiries and resolving issues professionally
Oversee food and beverage service to ensure quality, timing, and presentation standards are met
Liaise closely with kitchen, events, and management teams to ensure smooth event execution
Monitor service standards and provide on-the-job coaching and feedback to team members
Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations
Assist with post-event breakdown, stock checks, and reporting where required
What You’ll Bring
Previous experience in banqueting, events, or hospitality, ideally in a supervisory or senior role
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
A calm, professional approach with the ability to problem-solve under pressure
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business
Physical stamina to be active on the floor and assist with set-ups when needed
A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
