About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Banksman to support the safe and efficient movement of vehicles within our service centre. You will play a vital role in directing and controlling the flow of light commercial vehicles and large goods vehicles entering and exiting our Despatch yard.

As an integral part of the traffic management process, you will:

• Manage and guide the movement and direction of site vehicles to ensure a safe and organised traffic flow.
• Support the management team in developing safe systems for the movement of both vehicles and pedestrians.
• Assist drivers during busy periods, helping them safely manoeuvre into loading, unloading, or parking areas.
• Monitor and manage the safe interaction between pedestrians and vehicles in the yard and on the bays.
• Report any unsafe behaviour or non‑compliance to site management promptly.

This is a key position within a busy operational environment where the safe coordination of vehicle movements is essential.

What We’re Looking For

• Motivated and reliable team workers.
• Keen to learn and develop in a practical, hands‑on role.
• Able to stand, walk, bend and lift for extended periods in line with health and safety requirements.

Experience is beneficial but not essential—full training will be provided.

An up‑to‑date Forklift Truck licence is highly desirable.
