About the Role

In this role as Bank Reconciliation Coordinator, you will:

Key responsibilities

  • Provide management, leadership, and development to the bank reconciliation team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of daily and monthly reconciliations across all bank accounts.
  • Oversee the full reconciliation population in BlackLine; review and approve reconciliations prepared by senior and junior analysts, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to control standards.
  • Monitor team workload allocation and close calendar adherence; reallocate capacity and escalate risks to the close timeline as needed.
  • Own the aging of open reconciling items across the team; enforce SLA thresholds, drive resolution of complex or long-outstanding breaks, and escalate material items to the Controller/Finance Director.
  • Develop and implement reconciliation strategies and policies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex exceptions and cross-functional disputes (Treasury, AP, AR, Payroll, Intercompany); facilitate resolution and ensure root causes are addressed.
  • Own the internal control framework for the reconciliation process (SOX or equivalent); ensure preparer/reviewer segregation, audit trail quality, and timely remediation of control gaps.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audit support related to bank reconciliations; act as main liaison for audit requests, walkthroughs, and control testing.
  • Monitor and analyze reconciliation metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement; produce and present KPI dashboards (on-time rate, aged item counts, exception volumes, open item resolution times) to senior finance leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives: BlackLine matching rule enhancements, SAP posting logic improvements, SOP updates, and standardization across entities and regions.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the team (senior and junior analysts); conduct performance reviews, support career development, and lead onboarding of new team members.
  • Partner with Treasury and Banking Operations on bank connectivity, bank interface issues, and new account setups.
  • Support finance transformation projects (system upgrades, new entity onboarding, GBS scope expansions) from a bank reconciliation perspective.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Bank Reconciliation Coordinator if you have the following required qualifications:

Required qualifications

  • ·Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 6–9+ years of experience in bank reconciliations, cash accounting, GL accounting, or shared services/GBS, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP (FI/GL/bank-related postings) and BlackLine (reconciliations and matching).
  • Solid understanding of internal controls and experience operating in a SOX or equivalent control environment.
  • Strong English (B2+/C1 — business level) for stakeholder management, documentation, and cross-country collaboration.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet close deadlines, and lead a team through high-pressure periods.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior finance stakeholders.

Preferred / nice to have

  • Experience in a multinational GBS/SSC environment managing multi-entity, multi-currency reconciliation scopes.
  • Exposure to Treasury operations, bank connectivity/interfaces (e.g. SWIFT, bank portals), and cash management processes.
  • Experience leading or contributing to finance transformation or system implementation projects.
  • Advanced Excel; Power BI/Tableau or other reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with IFRS or US GAAP cash and banking accounting treatment.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For Poland, the base compensation range for this role is 178,500 PLN - 331,500 PLN. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
