This position is located at Robins AFB, GA and requires being onsite daily as well as working any shift as/when needed to include weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.

This is a Service Contract Act position.

This position requires the ability to deploy nationally and internationally for periods of up to 180 days to support CONUS and OCONUS operations when required, to backfill staffing needs, or when USAF customer requirements dictate.

Once employed  - must be willing and able to do required travel within 72 hours of notification of the travel.

The selected candidate must be able to pass a pre-deployment physical and renew this requirement annually.

Duties include:

Support of all other logistics taskings as assigned.

  • Issue, receive, and restock parts, tools, test equipment, consumables, and other materials directly with aircraft maintenance, ground support, engineering, and other program personnel as needed.

  • Perform daily inventory management actions and enter inventory transactions in the Corridor material management database, SAP S4, and related ancillary NG and USG systems. Plan, manage, and track efficient flow of aircraft parts, support equipment, tooling, and hazardous materials from point of origin to point of consumption.

  • Ship materials via commercial and Mil Air channels to include hazardous materials and international shipments IAW best commercial practices or required USG standards.

  • Track minimum balance (reorder) quantities and action the replenishment of aircraft and logistics materials, parts, tooling, consumables, and hazardous materials.

  • Assist in USG and NG property, compliance, and safety audit preparations, audit execution, and audit resolution.

Specifics of the role:

  • Effectively communicate with Northrop Grumman Global Supply Chain (GSC) on status and issues which may affect any element of aircraft Contract Logistics Support (CLS) operations and/or ability to meet any customer requirements.

  • Conduct advanced material requirements planning to develop and maintain inventory levels in support of deployed aircraft schedules.

  • Perform and document daily receipts of all incoming materials, to include a FAA or program equivalent Receiving Inspection for quality acceptance purposes.

  • Provide export/import management coordination for the shipment of aircraft parts, materials, and other items necessary for the execution of aircraft maintenance operations at deployed locations.

  • Prepare Jurisdiction Classification Requests (JCRs) for materials requiring USML / EAR determinations to include HTS and Sch. B determinations.

  • Prepare International Commercial Invoice (ICI) documents in conjunction with the Northrop Grumman International Trade Compliance (ITC) office.

  • Oversee and conduct daily inventory (cycle counts) of Northrop Grumman and Government Furnished Property.

  • Monitor calibration due dates of Northrop Grumman and government furnished tools for calibration due status and facilitate the recalibration process.

  • Oversee, issue, dispose, and inventory consumable and hazardous materials, to include shelf-life and expiration dates as applicable.

  • Coordinate the movement of inbound and outbound materials via Northrop Grumman approved vendors.

Unique Duties of Deployed Logistics Personnel:

  • Submit Entry/Exit Memorandums, American Goods Return Forms, Customs Clearance Forms, and ICIs, etc., for the receipt, turn-in, and shipment of materials.

  • Responsible for the coordination and oversight of material movements from warehouses, hangars, and offices to and from base and airfield entries and exits. Submission of US DoD and host nation transportation documents, e.g., AF 868 Transportation Form.  Direct coordination with DoD TMO and host nation transportation personnel and customs personnel as directed.

  • Deliver and pick up materials from surrounding facilities, suppliers, and transportation hubs as needed.

  • Ability to adapt to changes in deployed locations including short notice and short-term changes as required.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience

OR 6 years of experience in lieu of degree.

2. Ability to quickly obtain a DOD Secret security clearance.

3. Current U.S. Passport required.

4. Hands-on experience with computer operations and Microsoft Office software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

5. Able to obtain and maintain a corporate credit card.

6. Basic familiarity with aviation maintenance and aircraft hangar operations.

7. Willing and able to pass a pre-deployment physical and recertify your ability to deploy with an annual physical.

8. Experience with commercial packing, documentation, and shipping methods and requirements. 

9. Possess current driver’s license and ability to pass and maintain a US DOT medical physical for trucks under 26,000 lbs. GVW. (Non CDL)

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in Corridor inventory database operations.

2. A Current DOD Secret Clearance

3. Experience with SAP S4, ELMS, DPAS, PIEE

4. OCONUS deployment experience.

5. Commercial, Repair Station, or Business/Corporate fixed wing aviation logistics experience.

6. Ability to operate material handling equipment e.g., folk lifts, pallet stackers, cargo vans, small-midsized delivery trucks.

7. Experience with US DOT Hazardous Materials and IATA Dangerous Goods regulations and shipping.

8. Experience with DLA property disposition processes.

Primary Level Salary Range: $29.67 - $29.67

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
