B2B Senior Software Engineer II (Java/Kotlin)

This role is offered as remote, with the expectation to be in the office in Katowice once per quarter (once per 2 weeks is welcomed but not mandatory). We are only able to accept applications for those based in Poland and have sponsorship to live and work in Poland. 

 

What you’ll do at Jamf:

Lead others on the agile team to break down problems and apply the appropriate designs and practices to build core domain services in PaaS environment on top of infrastructure layer. Collaborate with other Engineers, Product Management and leadership to understand your team's priorities and how those help us solve company-wide problems.

• Use your knowledge of Engineering best practices to ask the right questions, solve problems and build great software with a high level of quality. 

• Produce designs for new and existing features. 

• Clearly communicate technical concepts with others in the organization (Technical Communication, Support, Product and Cloud). 

• Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and purpose of the organization.

What we are looking for: 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing enterprise grade software with understanding of testing and quality assurance processes. 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in JVM application development. 

• Experience with and knowledge of Java+Spring or Kotlin+Ktor. 

• Experience with and knowledge of Microservices Architecture. 

• Experience with and knowledge of NoSQL databases (DynamoDB is preferred). 

• Experience with and knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS services. 

• Experience with IaaC (Terraform is preferred). 

• Experience with Observability - analysing and taking actions (preferred - Loki or OpenSearch, Jaeger or Tempo, Prometheus, Grafana). 

• Knowledge of Golang is an advantage. 

• Strong understanding of Service Ownership and DevOps culture. 

• Provide on-call support for services owned by the team, as part of a shared rotation schedule. 

• Focus on software development best practices. 

• Strong communication, analytical, and listening skills.  

• Ability to interact effectively with co-workers in a results-driven culture.  

• Strong written and oral English and Polish language.
