Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and resilient solutions on Microsoft Azure, using AI‑assisted reasoning and tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to explore options, validate patterns, and simplify complexity.
- Apply an AI‑first mindset to architecture design, problem analysis, documentation, and decision-making using AI to accelerate productivity while maintaining engineering rigor.
- Collaborate with development, operations, security, and product teams to translate business goals into clear, optimized cloud architectures, leveraging AI to rapidly iterate and converge on solutions.
- Perform capacity planning and platform performance optimization for Azure environments, using data‑driven and AI‑assisted analysis.
- Support multiple architectures and applications concurrently, maintaining consistency, quality, and clarity across teams.
- Guide teams in DevSecOps and AppSecOps, including the use of AI to improve pipeline quality, security posture, and developer feedback loops.
- Troubleshoot Azure platform issues (AKS, networking, identity, governance), efficiently using AI‑assisted diagnostics and pattern recognition.
- Design highly available and resilient architectures with strong disaster recovery and fault‑tolerance characteristics.
- Create clear, simplified architecture diagrams and narratives, using tools such as Visio, Draw.io, and AI‑assisted documentation tooling.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and ARM, improving consistency, reusability, and velocity through AI‑assisted development.
- Ensure solutions meet SOC audit requirements and ITSM compliance, using AI to help analyze controls, evidence, and risk gaps.
- Train and coach developers on Azure services, cloud‑native design, secure coding, and effective use of Copilot and AI tools.
- Maintain clear separation of build, deployment, and release processes while optimizing them with automation and AI insights.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement by embedding AI‑driven thinking into platform engineering and architectural practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in software development and cloud architecture.
- Mandatory: Azure Solutions Architect certification.
- Proven hands‑on experience with Azure services, cloud‑native architectures, and AKS.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) as part of everyday engineering and architectural work not as an experiment, but as a productivity multiplier.
- Strong ability to simplify complex technical problems into clear, consumable solutions using AI‑assisted analysis and reasoning.
- Deep, practical experience in DevSecOps and AppSecOps (beyond theoretical knowledge).
- Hands‑on expertise with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and ARM templates, including AI‑assisted authoring and review.
- Strong background in application development or architecture with a systems‑thinking mindset.
