Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for an Azure Hosting Technician, who will play a crucial role in maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting its cloud infrastructure hosted on the Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure services, networking, security, and automation. They will work closely with Taylor's security and development teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of its cloud-based applications. 

 

Your Responsibilities: 

 

  • Deploy, configure, and manage Azure resources such as app services, virtual machines, storage, and networking components 

  • Monitor and optimize the performance and cost of Azure-based systems, including managing billing and resource utilization 

  • Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, and patch management strategies to ensure security and reliability 

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Azure CLI) and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for efficient provisioning 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in Azure and on-prem environments, ensuring seamless integration and high availability 

  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure and respond to incidents promptly 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and application developers to design and optimize Azure solutions aligned with business needs 

  • Create and maintain clear documentation for configurations, processes, and technical designs 

 

You Must Have: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Cloud Hosting Technician with a focus on Microsoft Azure 

  • Strong understanding of Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking 

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Azure CLI) 

  • Knowledge of networking principles and security best practices in Azure 

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud environments 

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 

 

We Would Also Prefer: 

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate 

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate 

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
