Azure Data Architect

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable data storage solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.
• Develop and manage data integration pipelines leveraging Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, and Event Hubs for batch and streaming ingestion.
• Architect and optimize data processing frameworks with Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Azure Stream Analytics to support advanced analytics and real-time insights.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies using Microsoft Purview, ensuring compliance, lineage tracking, and metadata management.
• Implement security and identity controls through Azure Active Directory, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Azure Key Vault.
• Enable business intelligence and reporting with Power BI, Azure Analysis Services, and Synapse for enterprise-wide dashboards and analytics.
• Drive performance optimization and scalability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Autoscale features to ensure high availability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data architecture with organizational goals, leveraging Azure-native services for innovation and cost efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 8-12 years of proven experience in data architecture, data engineering, or cloud solution design with a focus on Azure services.
• Strong expertise in Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and Data Lake Storage for structured and unstructured data management.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, and Event Hubs for ETL/ELT and real-time ingestion.
• Proficiency in Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Stream Analytics for big data and advanced analytics workloads.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools such as Microsoft Purview, with emphasis on compliance and metadata management.
• Familiarity with identity and security management using Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and Key Vault.
• Strong skills in business intelligence and visualization using Power BI and Azure Analysis Services.
• Experience with monitoring and optimization tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Advisor.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles, scalability, and cost optimization strategies in Azure.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders across technical and business teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
