We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer / AWS Cloud Architect to lead cloud engineering initiatives, design scalable AWS environments, and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong AWS expertise, experience with infrastructure automation, and the ability to lead troubleshooting, optimization, and cloud transformation efforts with minimal oversight.
Lead cloud engineering projects and initiatives with minimal oversight, ensuring successful delivery against defined objectives.
Design and implement AWS environments for new customer onboarding, including multi-account strategies using AWS Organizations and Control Tower.
Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
Design and implement network solutions including VPCs, subnets, security groups, NACLs, load balancers, Direct Connect, and Site-to-Site VPN.
Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization of cloud services.
Drive AWS cost optimization (FinOps) initiatives and provide cost analysis recommendations.
Maintain cloud security posture, including audit remediation, proactive security controls, perimeter defense, and third-party security integrations.
Contribute to cloud architecture design documentation and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable cloud solutions.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of relevant IT experience, including 3+ years in cloud engineering or cloud architecture roles.
Strong expertise in AWS core services, including EC2, S3, RDS, DocumentDB, FSx, and related infrastructure services.
Strong knowledge of AWS networking and security services (VPC, NACL, Security Groups, Direct Connect, VPN, etc.).
Experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and Service Control Policies (SCPs).
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation).
Experience in AWS security management and audit remediation.
Experience in AWS cost optimization and FinOps practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional cloud project teams.
Valid U.S. indefinite work authorization.
Advanced degree in a relevant field.
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or equivalent advanced training.
Familiarity with additional cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
Experience in cloud project coordination or technical leadership roles.
Ability to quickly adapt to evolving technologies and business needs.
