Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to oversee the deployment, management, and optimization of cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise applications. This role involves designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments, automating infrastructure provisioning, and ensuring continuous system performance and security. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud migration initiatives, optimize cloud resources, and uphold high standards of operational excellence and security compliance.
Software Requirements
Required:
Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, Auto Scaling, CloudFormation, IAM, and Load Balancing
Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for provisioning and managing cloud resources
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation and operational tasks
Experience with cloud monitoring and observability tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or Splunk
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, and orchestration with Kubernetes or ECS (Elastic Container Service)
Familiarity with security best practices, including identity management, encryption, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR)
Preferred:
Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures supporting enterprise deployments
Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
Certification in AWS Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud security certifications
Overall Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise applications and services
Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes to support CI/CD pipelines and operational efficiency
Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to implement secure, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions
Monitor cloud systems, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization and costs
Support cloud migration projects by assessing existing infrastructure and designing scalable solutions
Establish and enforce cloud security, compliance, and governance standards
Develop and maintain documentation related to architecture, processes, and operational procedures
Lead incident response efforts, perform root cause analyses, and implement automation to reduce downtime
Technical Skills (By Category)
Cloud Platforms:
Required: AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP, with experience supporting large-scale deployments
Preferred: Multi-cloud support and hybrid environment management
Infrastructure as Code:
Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools for automated resource provisioning
Containerization & Orchestration:
Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS for container deployment and management
Automation & Scripting:
Python, Bash, PowerShell for automating configurations and operational tasks
Monitoring & Logging:

Experience Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure in enterprise environments
Proven expertise designing and supporting scalable, high-availability cloud solutions
Strong background in automating cloud provisioning, deployment, and monitoring processes
Experience supporting cloud migration initiatives and hybrid architectures
Industry experience in finance, healthcare, or large enterprise IT is preferred but not mandatory

Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure supporting cloud-native applications and services
Automate deployment, configuration, and scaling processes supporting CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to optimize infrastructure and troubleshoot issues
Monitor cloud environments proactively, resolve incidents, and optimize system performance and costs
Conduct security audits, enforce compliance standards, and maintain operational documentation
Support cloud migration projects by analyzing existing environments and designing target architectures
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
8+ years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering in large environments
Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect or equivalent highly preferred
Proven track record supporting enterprise cloud deployments supporting critical business operations
