Organizational Overview:
The Cash Management team within Treasury is responsible for ensuring Synchrony’s daily liquidity needs are met through accurate cash positioning, forecasting, reconciliations, and well-controlled execution of payments and customer credit balance refunds. The team operates in a highly controlled, audit-ready environment and partners closely with U.S.-based Treasury, Finance/Controllership, Operations, and external banking partners to maintain strong governance over cash movements and related reporting.
Role Summary/Purpose:
This role would be located in Hyderabad, India and support activities that fall under Cash Management Process within Treasury. This role will be responsible for supporting and managing the team executing payments and credit balance refund processes and will support Cash Forecasting, Positioning and Reporting processes. In this role, you will gain functional Funding and Reporting experience in Finance as well as influence in a matrix environment Leadership experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage processing of Stop Payment requests of credit balance refund checks.
Manage processing of PO Returns queues related to credit balance refunds.
Approve Journal Entries for manual checks, stop pays and remote deposits.
Initiate/Approve manual check and wire payment requests.
Daily reconciliation of internal systems to intraday bank account activity; research, resolve, and execute any transactions to remediate issue
Provide required documentation and share expertise with internal/external auditors for payment related audits
Support and back-up for CBR process Manager and Cash Management Team in US, when needed.
Support Cash Forecasting, Positioning, Pacing when needed.
Prepare mid-day, end of day reconciling and balancing of daily processes.
Track, report and submit volume for monthly metrics, intraday liquidity, RAS Reporting and Counterparty limits reporting for ALCO deck.
Recognize and escalate potential issues as appropriate.
Support Cash Management Leader with initiatives and goals, targeting process and productivity improvements.
Maintain a thorough understanding of all business processes, transaction flows, key systems and sources which impact Cash Management.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Required Skills/Knowledge:

Strong computer acumen including advanced Excel skills
Knowledge of working with Oracle Financials
Experience with receivable systems and/or Proprietary Case Management Systems and/or Bank Proprietary Systems
Experience operating in a regulated-compliance environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to execute in a fluctuating environment with attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to address diverse management issues and team responsibilities.
Strong communication skills – both oral & written.
Highly motivated with ability to handle a high workload in a fast-paced changing environment.
Requires minimal supervision to manage daily activities and is able to lead the team to meet published deadlines for activities.
