We are seeking a strategic thinker to join the Corporate Strategy team and lead strategic insights for us. The position will work closely with the Strategy Leadership team in supporting the analyses and insights that help build conviction behind our long-term ambition. To that end, you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic intelligence and insights roadmap as part of our annual strategic planning process.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze macro, industry, regulatory, and technology trends; translate insights into implications for Nasdaq’s ecosystem and long-term strategy.
- Develop and maintain competitive intelligence on key players and ecosystem dynamics; assess competitive positioning, leverage points, platform advantages, and predictions.
- Quantify enterprise value creation opportunities including revenue and profit pools, TAM/SAM analyses, and market share capture.
- Evaluate portfolio attractiveness and performance across growth and efficiency dimensions, including ROIC considerations and capital allocation trade-offs.
- Build enterprise scenarios and strategic narratives by defining value drivers, key assumptions, and “what we need to believe” to achieve long-term ambition, while surfacing risks and opportunities.
- Directly present key insights to the Nasdaq Executive Leadership team, as appropriate.
- Leverage AI-enabled research methods to produce high-quality landscape assessments, market maps, and insight reports.
- Curate, summarize, and synthesize key external content (e.g., podcasts, long-form essays, analysts, conferences, think-tanks) into clear, decision-useful takeaways for leadership.
- Support the Strategy Leadership team on ad hoc analyses for corporate strategic priorities, executive debate and decision-making, and time-sensitive strategic questions.
- Lead a small team of talented strategy professionals, develop the annual intelligence roadmap, and deliver outstanding insights.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in a strategic role across finance, strategy, consulting or banking.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to put complex ideas into clear frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience in structured problem solving and strategic financial modeling skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex data and information to develop insights that are well explained – strong oral and written communications skills necessary.
- An understanding of capital markets, financial services, and fintech is preferred.
- Must be proactive, resourceful, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.
- Must have the ability to react positively in the face of uncertainty and be able to pivot quickly, if required.
- Exhibit the highest standards of integrity and be pleasant & fun to work with.

The base pay range for this role is $172,000 - $335,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
