Summary:
In this role, the Associate Vice President, Non-Acute Strategy is responsible for leading Vizient’s enterprise strategy, development, and execution for the non-acute segment across all clinical categories. This role drives growth through innovative sourcing models, supplier partnerships, category strategy leadership, and differentiated value propositions tailored for ambulatory, physician office, post-acute, and alternate-site providers. The AVP leads efforts to expand market adoption, optimize product access, strengthen supply assurance, and deliver measurable value to non-acute members. This leader partners closely with sourcing, analytics, operations, and commercial teams to create a unified, scalable, and high-performing non-acute strategy.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute Vizient’s enterprise-wide strategy for non-acute market growth across all clinical categories.
Identify emerging opportunities for market penetration, program expansion, and innovative service offerings.
Build and execute business plans that drive revenue growth, member acquisition, retention, and increased portfolio utilization among non-acute sites of care.
Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to inform proactive strategies that differentiate Vizient.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and member engagement teams to position Vizient as the leading strategic partner in the non-acute supply chain space.
Partner with national sourcing teams to lead innovative contracting strategies tailored to non-acute sites, ensuring appropriate depth and breadth of product coverage across all clinical categories.
Drive alignment with analytics and category strategy teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and optimized category performance.
Establish and monitor performance metrics related to revenue, product access, supplier engagement, sourcing efficiency, and member adoption.
Partner with internal teams—including contracting, operations, analytics, and service delivery teams—to align sourcing strategies and execute market plans.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, supply chain, or related field desired; Master’s degree preferred.
10 or more years of experience required in healthcare sourcing, supply chain strategy, GPO management, or clinical category leadership; experience in non-acute markets strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing growth strategies, supplier partnerships, and sourcing innovation across clinical categories.
Deep understanding of non-acute healthcare markets, including ambulatory, post-acute, physician office, and alternate-site settings.
Strong business and financial acumen with proven ability to drive revenue and margin performance.
Exceptional communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management abilities.
Strategic thinker with the ability to drive execution and operational excellence.
Willingness to travel approximately 25%.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $290,100.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
