Role Summary/Purpose :

AVP, Loyalty Analytics – Targeting Strategy and Optimization  (People Manager) role is a part of India Analytics Hub (IAH). The role will deliver on business and organizational priorities for Loyalty Center of Excellence . The candidate will lead the development of enhanced segmentation and targeting strategy for loyalty based card programs using rewards data to improve marketing  efficiency . This person will also oversee the accuracy and completeness of client loyalty reporting .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage customer rewards earn/burn behavior to develop scalable, data-driven solutions that enhance marketing effectiveness, reduce attrition, and strengthen customer engagement.

  • Lead evaluation of client-specific loyalty reporting, identifying gaps and root causes, recommending corrective actions, and ensuring ongoing oversight and adherence to reporting compliance standards.

  • Provide data-driven insights to partners on value propositions, including industry benchmarks, usage trends, and recommendations to improve program performance and effectiveness.

  • Lead/ manage multiple cross-functional projects end-to-end, ensuring on-time delivery, high-quality outputs, and complete documentation in alignment with audit and governance requirements.

  • Manage and develop the team, including workforce planning, hiring, performance management, coaching, and career development.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Minimum 6+ years of hands-on Experience in any one of  SQL /SAS/ Python Tools with ability to leverage advanced algorithms and be efficient in handling complex/large data

  • Experience in managing teams with ability to motivate team, drive change, create a culture of learning, innovation and recognition 

  • Ability to solve complex technical and business problems with minimal supervision

  • Experience in storytelling, presenting to senior leaders with strong communication skills

  • Innovative mindset that looks to improve current capabilities and discover new ones

Eligibility Criteria :

Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative streams with 6+ years of hands-on relevant analytics/data science experience, or in lieu of a degree 8+ years of relevant analytics/data science experience

Work Timings: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST

This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs)
