Job Description

About the Role:

The AVP, Capital Markets will be responsible for supporting and expanding client‑facing capital markets engagement for Taiwan‑focused strategies, working closely with investment, trading, product, and distribution teams. This role will serve as a subject‑matter expert on Taiwan capital markets, acting as a key interface between investors, internal stakeholders, and market participants.

The specialist will support investor education, market insights, execution guidance, and product positioning, with a strong focus on local market structure, regulation, liquidity, and trading dynamics. The role will also contribute to broader APAC capital markets initiatives and data‑driven decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support client and distributor engagement related to Taiwan capital markets, including market structure, liquidity, execution considerations, and regulatory developments.
  • Act as a trusted specialist for investors, articulating investment philosophy, process, performance, and market context for Taiwan‑focused products.
  • Provide market updates, capital markets insights, and execution guidance to internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Partner closely with Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations, Legal/Compliance, Product, and Technology teams to support capital markets initiatives.
  • Produce quantitative analysis, market research, and trading analytics to support client discussions and internal decision‑making.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret trading, flow, and liquidity data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the Taiwan market.
  • Contribute to capital markets strategy reporting, including development of tools, dashboards, and visualization to enhance understanding of investor behavior and market dynamics.
  • Support pre‑trade and post‑trade analytics, execution analysis, and reporting aligned with best‑execution objectives.
  • Write Taiwan capital markets insights, commentary, and research for internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate with product development and research teams on new product launches and enhancements, ensuring alignment with local market requirements.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience in capital markets, trading, or investment roles with a strong focus on Taiwan markets.
  • Deep understanding of Taiwan capital markets, including market structure, trading mechanics, liquidity drivers, and investor behavior.
  • Strong knowledge of multi‑asset classes, including equities, fixed income, derivatives (futures, options, swaps), and FX.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to Taiwan (e.g., FSC, TWSE, TPEx) and ability to stay current on regulatory developments.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with experience producing market, trading, and performance analytics.
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg and market data tools.
  • Working knowledge of programming or data tools (e.g., Python, VBA, SQL) and experience with data visualization or automation is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to explain complex investment and market concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Self‑directed, proactive, and able to independently drive initiatives from concept to execution.
  • High learning agility and strong problem‑solving skills, with a mindset focused on continuous improvement and business impact.
