Position Summary:
Responsible for driving the success of PRA’s Third-Party Agency line of business including identifying, onboarding and managing Agency performance and expense. Lead PRA’s relationships with third parties, key stakeholders and support teams while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Responsibilities encompass leading an internal team, shaping PRA processes and managing all aspects of Third-Party Collection Agency program.Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Responsible for the sourcing, onboarding, and management of Third-Party Collection Agencies
Leads Agency Management Team including performance management, reporting, control and liaison functions
Responsible for the Agency P&L including driving collection performance at Third Party Agencies and managing expenses to achieve maximum net returns
Performs all responsibilities of a Vendor Relationship Owner as outlined in PRA Policy
Serves as control owner for the Agency line of business including responsibility for the design and oversight of all first line controls
Responsible for the management of the Third-Party system utilized for Agency placement and reconciliation
Ensures PRA systems are regularly updated with data, payments and notes detailing the actions taken at agency partners
Maintains strong relationships with the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), Corporate Compliance and Corporate Audit Services (CAS) Teams and ensures communication and control workflows are aligned between control partners
Uses data and analysis to drive performance and improve operations; Makes recommendations to stakeholders and drives strategic initiatives to improve inventory processing
Represents PRA in Receivables Management Industry and maintains the highest level of professionalism in all interactions
Builds strong relationships with business stakeholders and cross-functional support teams to identify business needs, trends and to develop and/or deliver a variety of solutions in support of the success of PRA’s Agency Management Program
Monitors and evaluates work quality, efficiency, and productivity
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned employees.
Maintains expert knowledge of the Accounts Receivables Management Industry, processes, market conditions and regulatory changes
Responsible for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, practices, and applicable laws
Trains and develop employees, plan, assign, and direct work
Completes performance appraisals and disciplinary actions
Addresses complaints and resolves problems
Responsible for the overall development, coordination, and evaluation of employees
Interviews, trains, and appraises employees, resolves issues, assigns work
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or a demonstrable equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience
5-10 years of experience managing collections teams at a senior level
Experience identifying improvement opportunities, designing, and building processes and systems to achieve results, drive efficiencies and maintain robust compliance
Excellent communication skills to include the ability to effectively present information and interact with senior leaders
Experience navigating and negotiating contracts preferred
Advanced strategic, analytical, project management and leadership skills
Advanced proficiency with Windows operating systems
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, Visio, and Excel; experience with project management tools desired
Advanced ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Advanced ability to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues
Advanced ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and process documents
