As an Avionics Technician II, you will independently install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain detailed records of your work.

Responsibilities:
- Perform installation and maintenance of avionics equipment independently.
- Troubleshoot and repair avionics systems.
- Conduct detailed testing of avionics components.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with FCC, FAA, and company regulations.
- Assist in training junior technicians.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and manuals in good condition.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Proficiency in electronic principles and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to understand applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings.
- Basic skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, and wiring installation.
- Experience with soldering and crimping techniques.
- Must have own tools in good working order.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Associate’s degree in Avionics, Electronics, or a related field.
- Advanced soldering skills and knowledge of electronic test equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret advanced technical manuals and schematics.
- Familiarity with FCC and FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL).
- Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope. and/or pitot static equipment.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift.
- Hand and finger dexterity to work with small mechanical components and tools.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials.
- Ability to travel frequently to customer locations, sometimes on short notice.
- Ability to work in a combination of office and field environments.
- Ability to read detailed technical manuals, schematics, and computer screens.
- Ability to inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems accurately.
- Ability to hear and understand spoken communication in noisy environments, such as industrial sites or construction areas.
- Ability to detect auditory signals from machinery or equipment, which may indicate issues.
- Ability to navigate various work environments, including climbing ladders, crawling in confined spaces, and working at heights.
- Ability to drive or operate a vehicle for frequent travel to customer locations.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, including repairs, installations, and maintenance.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
- Strong awareness of safety protocols and ability to adhere to safety guidelines in potentially hazardous environments.
- Ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $26.39 - $36.29. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
