The Opportunity

We are seeking a Team Leader, Manufacturing Operations to lead and inspire a high-performing manufacturing team in a regulated environment. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering critical products by driving safety, quality, and operational excellence across multiple shifts.

You’ll combine people leadership with hands-on operational oversight, coordinating daily production activities while ensuring full compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards. Working closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other support functions, you will champion continuous improvement and foster a strong culture of safety and quality.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5–15 manufacturing colleagues

  • Coordinate production activities across shifts to meet schedules and efficiency targets

  • Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, ISO, and quality management systems

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles

  • Monitor performance, conduct reviews, and support training and development

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and optimize workflows

  • Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation and batch records

  • Balance quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness in daily operations

Who We’re Looking For

  • Advanced Degree (no experience required) or Bachelor’s Degree with proven experience, ideally in pharma, biotech, or another regulated industry

  • Background in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical discipline

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams of 5–15 people

  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, ISO standards, and manufacturing quality systems

  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies

  • Comfortable working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Desirable:

  • IOSH Managing Safely certification

  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher

Working Environment

  • Cleanroom manufacturing environment with PPE and gowning requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs

  • Use of manufacturing execution systems and Microsoft Office tools
