About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Tester with extensive experience in automation frameworks and tools. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in Selenium, Playwright, WebdriverIO, and API testing. This role involves designing, developing, and executing automation scripts to ensure high-quality software delivery in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Automation Development & Execution
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using Playwright, WebdriverIO, Selenium, and related tools.
- Perform functional, regression, API, and database testing to validate software quality.
- Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts to resolve issues.
- Identify, track, and report software defects; collaborate with development teams for resolution.
2. Test Planning & Collaboration
- Review test cases, improve automation frameworks, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with QA, Development, and Product teams for seamless test execution.
- Participate actively in Agile sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
3. CI/CD & Process Improvement
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other tools.
- Utilize testing frameworks, version control, and automation best practices for efficiency.
Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Playwright and WebdriverIO for automation testing.
- Strong knowledge of Selenium, TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, JIRA.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Hands-on experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and backend API/database testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.
Experience
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in automation testing.
- Prior experience using Selenium and Java.
- Knowledge of API testing and database validation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Write, maintain, and execute automated test cases.
- Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts.
- Review test cases and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
