As a Automation Test Engineer with QA at Kyndryl, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions. Your work will play a critical role in our business offering, your code will deliver value to our customers faster than ever before, and your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be critical in ensuring the success of our products.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation Design & Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks (UI, API, and backend).
  • Build scalable and reusable automation test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, RestAssured, Karate, Playwright, or similar.
  • Implement continuous testing solutions integrated with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Bamboo).
  • Drive automation coverage across functional, regression, and end-to-end banking processes.

Test Strategy & Planning

  • Define automation test strategies for new banking applications or upgrades.
  • Analyze business and functional requirements to determine automation feasibility.
  • Identify test scenarios, test data, and automation scope based on risk and impact.
  • Contribute to overall QA planning and estimation.

Execution, Defect Analysis & Quality Assurance

  • Execute automated test suites across environments and track results.
  • Provide detailed defect analysis and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
  • Ensure quality of banking functionalities such as payments, accounts, loans, digital onboarding, card systems, and transaction workflows.
  • Validate integration points across core banking systems, APIs, and third-party services.

Continuous Improvement & Optimization

  • Enhance automation frameworks to improve reliability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Research and adopt new tools, technologies, and practices aligned with modern banking QA trends.
  • Ensure adherence to QA best practices, coding standards, and secure testing guidelines.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, architects, DevOps, and product owners.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers.
  • Communicate automation results and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Using design documentation and functional programming specifications, you will be responsible for implementing identified components. You will ensure that implemented components are appropriately documented, unit-tested, and ready for integration into the final product. Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 10+ Years of Experience Test Automation Design & Development
  • Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium
  • RestAssured, Postman, SoapUI, Karate (API automation)
  • Banking application expertise (core banking, digital channels)
  • Performance and security testing (e.g., JMeter)
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
  • Knowledge of microservices, API gateways, SQL/Oracle databases, and message queues (Kafka, MQ)

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Framework Design: Hybrid, BDD/TDD
  • Advanced Selenium and Playwright usage
  • API automation best practices
  • Banking processes and regulatory workflows
  • Relevant industry certifications are advantageous (e.g., ISTQB, Selenium, Agile Testing)
