ISS STOXX is actively hiring for Automation Test Engineer to join our QBIT Team (Quality Assurance Benchmarking and Independent Testing) in Mumbai (Goregaon East), India.
Overview:
The Quality Assurance Benchmarking Independent Testing (QBIT) team, a vital component of the ISS Development/Technology group, is actively searching for a Software Engineer in Test. This role demands leadership in Quality Assurance (QA) and Test Automation, encompassing the entire spectrum from design to execution, and ongoing support for testing across diverse projects within ISS applications and services. We seek a candidate with a keen eye for detail, a focus on objectives, and the ability to efficiently manage and execute multiple tasks autonomously and within established timelines.
Responsibilities:
Test Case Management: Reviewing requirements and proficiently creating, executing, and documenting test cases to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
Environment Management: Overseeing QA/UAT environments, including deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Automated Testing Frameworks Development: Designing, modifying, and expanding automated testing frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Technical Support: Providing technical assistance to team members and offering solutions to technology-related challenges encountered during project execution.
Collaboration: Working closely with Product Management and Development teams to align product development with business specifications and requirements.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborating effectively with technical teams across different time zones and geographical locations.
Qualification:
Hands-on experience in QA/software testing or development, including scripting (automation) or coding in languages such as Java, Python or similar Object-Oriented Programming Languages (OOP).
Proficiency in implementing Object-Oriented Programming Concepts in code will be an advantage.
Required 2-3 years of experience in a testing role (Functional and Non-Functional).
Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related discipline required.
Candidates with experience in test automation framework development and automated testing will be given preference.
Experience in automated testing using off-the shelf black/white box testing tools and test automation framework development in java or similar object oriented language will be preferred.
Familiarity with Defect Tracking systems, with preference given to experience with JIRA.
Competence in web server utilization, with knowledge in Apache Tomcat on Unix/Linux considered advantageous.
Proficiency in interacting with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), including experience with SQL/SPs, and advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server and/or Oracle database systems preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Previous involvement in global development organizations is a plus.
