Overall Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Playrite and complementary tools
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing and delivery
Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report defects with detailed documentation
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and manual QA team members to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate issues effectively
Continuously improve and optimize automation frameworks for efficiency, scalability, and reliability
Stay current with emerging testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices
Contribute to test planning, test case design, and documentation efforts
Extensive experience with Playrite automation testing tools and frameworks
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, C#, or scripting languages used within Playrite
Knowledge of test automation best practices, including designing reusable test scripts and frameworks
Familiarity with automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or similar tools
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST-assured
Hands-on experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Experience working with version control systems like Git
Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
Experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail)
Familiarity with containerization and cloud environments for testing deployments
Playrite automation platform (mandatory)
Selenium, Appium (preferred)
TestNG, JUnit, NUnit (for test orchestration)
Programming/Scripting Languages:
Java, C#, or relevant scripting languages used within Playrite
API Testing:
Postman, REST-assured, or similar tools
Build & CI/CD Tools:
Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bamboo
Version Control & Collaboration:
Git, JIRA, TestRail
Additional Skills:
Basic understanding of database testing (SQL queries, validation)
Performance testing tools (optional but advantageous)
Minimum of 5+ years of QA experience with focused expertise in test automation
Proven track record using Playrite automation platform in enterprise environments
Experience creating and managing automation frameworks from scratch
Exposure to Agile development processes, continuous integration, and delivery pipelines
Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing is a plus
Day-to-Day Activities
Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for new and existing applications in Playrite
Collaborate with project teams to understand functional and technical requirements
Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing
Analyze test results, log defects, and work with developers for resolution
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings
Conduct regression testing to verify fixes and enhancements
Document test cases, test results, and automation procedures
Continuously evaluate and improve automation frameworks and processes
Qualifications & Soft Skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
5+ years of QA experience with significant focus on automation testing
Certification in Automation Testing or related areas is a plus
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
Self-motivated and proactive in learning new tools and methodologies
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Adaptability and willingness to improve ongoing test strategies
