Job Description Summary:
Qualifications and Experience:
- BE/B.Tech with minimum of 8 years of experience
- Relevant experience of 6 to 8 years in system house of Automation OEMs like Siemens, Allen Bradley
- Hands on experience on programming and maintenance of latest siemens PLC ( s7-300, 400, TIA portal, WINCC Scada etc) /Rockwell PLC ( Compact logix, Control Logix, Scada RS view 32)
- Hands on experience of electrical circuits hardware’s design and trouble shooting

Plant Maintenance System
- Update Computerised Maintenance Management System database with PM activities, Equipment data and maintenance history
- Conduct Root cause analysis of recurring problems and initiate corrective actions
- Monitoring & coordination of service providers / contractors for timely & effective compliance.
- Plan & ensure adherence to the calibration / verification schedule of various equipment / instruments in coordination with stakeholders, including documentation
- Update working instructions for changed Equipment/processes.
- Collate data and report Key metrics
- Attends cross functional meetings and take responsibility for the assigned tasks
Projects
- Contribute for review & updating of Site Automation Blueprint
- Design and implement monitoring and control system for inhouse and outsourced processes
- Support Planning & execution of Capital projects
- Coordinate with vendors & procurement department for techno-commercial details.
- Coordinate with contractor / vendor for compliance with the EHS & other legal requirements
- Participate in periodic review & monitoring of projects through site meetings, visit to the Supplier for inspection & Coordinate during installation & commissioning activities, to ensure on time & within budget completion
- Participate in validation of the equipment / process & Impart training to stakeholders.
- Complete the capitalization & asset tagging process
Cost Reduction & Value Optimization
- Study & reduce maintenance costs, through optimum utilization of resources.
- Plan & carry out improvements / modifications of equipment to improve Productivity, Safety & Quality.
- Reduce waste & improve process reliability by applying process improvement tools.
- Identify & reduce non-value adding activities
Engineering Budget & Spares Management
- Provide inputs for preparation of operating expenses budget
- Estimation & planning of engineering spares, consumables & services
- Provide technical support to Engineering stores
- Coordinate with vendors & technical support to Purchase department for procurement of Engineering items.
- Inspection of incoming engineering items.
- Optimize/Standardization of spares / consumables to reduce inventory
Environment, Occupational Safety, Health, Quality & Food Safety Management systems
- Initiate Preventive actions to reduce potential risk in working area, related Environment, Occupational Safety ,Health, Quality & Food Safety
- Continuous monitoring of equipment and processes to ensure all Fire Safety & other EOSH Safety systems are in working condition.
- Improve product quality through technical interventions
- Identify, plan and implement energy conservation and sustainability
